Bharata (Ramayana)

Son of Dasharatha and Kaikeyi .

Kaikeyi demanded that not Rama, but her son, should become king and that Rama should be sent into exile. Bharata stood by his brother, did not ascend the throne, but put Rama’s sandals in front of it, as a symbol of Rama’s reign.

In the Ramayana the four sons of Dasharatha marry as follows
Rama – Sita, Lakshmana – Urmila, daughters of king Janaka.
Bharata – Mandavi, Shatrugna – Shrutakirti, daughters of king Janakas brother, king Kushadhvaja.
