Ganesha

Son of Shiva and Parvati. He has the head of an elephant. He is NOT an elephant and he is NOT an elephant God.

He is the lord (Isha) of the Ganas, the heavenly troops. Gana Isha = Ganesha.

He is also called Ganapati, master of the heavenly troops.

His mount is the rat Mushika.

In some myths Ganesha is married with Siddhi and Buddhi.

His brother is Karttikeya.

He broke of one of his tusks and wrote the Mahabharata with it. The opening image of the website shows this scene.

There is also a female Ganesha
