Son of Sunda and Tataka. Uncle of Ravana.
He approached the hut of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana as a golden deer. Sita wanted the deer. Rama pursues it. It calls for help in the voice of Rama. Lakshmana comes to the rescue. Sita was now alone and Ravana abducted her.
