Daughter of sage Kardama, married to sage Atri.
Anasuya and Atri are the parents of Dattatreya, the embodiment of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva in one deity.
According to another legend, they have three sons, Chandra, as the appearance of Brahma, Dattatreya as the appearance of Vishnu and Durvasa as the appearance of Shiva.
