Namusi is a character in the works of the Alwars – as a son of Bali.
When Vamana grew from dwarf to giant to measure the world Namusi clung to his feet demanding to measure the world as a dwarf, because as a dwarf he asked for gift of three steps of his father’s land. Becoming a giant was deceit. Vishnu hurled him into the space.
