Darshana

Darshana is being seen by a deity in the temple. The devotee has darshana. The deity, present in the statue, sees the devotee. He is seen by the deity, not he sees the deity. Darshana can also be obtained from a person of high spiritual standing, a sage, a saint.

The six (shad) philosophy systems are called Shad Darshana,
Sankhya – Kapila; Mimamsa – Jaimini; Nyaya – Gautama;
Vaiseshika – Kanada; Vedanta – Badarayana/Vyasa; Yoga – Patanjali.
They are a view, not a ‚that’s the way it is‘; every view of things is one of many possible.
