Bhurishravas

Devaki, who later became the mother of Krishna, had chosen Vasudeva and had spurned another candidate, Somadatta.

King Sini, an ally of Vasudeva, fought against him when he tried to rob Devaki. Somadatta was defeated. He prayed to Shiva for a son who would defeat Sini’s son in front of thousands of warriors.

The desired son was Bhurishravas, who fought on the side of the Kauravas in the Mahabharata war. He met Satyaki, Sini’s grandson, and was beheaded by him.

Bhurishravas had previously given up and went into meditation on the battlefield, the beheading was a dishonorable act of Satyaki.
