The first apsara Arjuna rescued from her curse of being a crocodile.
There were five apsaras – Varga, Saurabheyi, Samichi, Vudvuda, Lata who lived as five crocodiles in five waters – Agastya, Saubhadra, Pauloma, Karandhama, Bharadvaja.
Arjuna also freed the other four apsaras, the waters were free of crocodiles and the sages could bathe in them again.
