Jarasandha

King of Magadha, son of King Brihadratha, who was married with two wifes, nevertheless childless. Sage Chandakausika gave a mango to him, each of his two wives should eat a half of it. Each gave birth to half a child. They threw it in front of the house.

Demoness Jara came by and put the two halves together. The child was named Jarasandha, the one put togehter by Jara.

Jarasandha had two daughters, Asti and Prapti, they married Kamsa.
