A king willing to help the Gods destroy demons. They made him their general and he won victory. They then granted him a favor. He demanded liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The Gods had to admit that they were unable to do so and asked for another wish. Khatvanga wanted to know the time of his death. He learned that he was going to die in a moment. He wanted to be brought to earth immediately to meditate on Krishna. Within that moment he experienced liberation.
