Daughter of Kirti (mother) and Vrishabhanu (father), living in Raval. Before they lived in Barsana, also called Vrishabhanupur. Some scriptures name it Kamalavati.
The couple was friends with Krishna’s parents, Nanda and Yashoda.
Vrishabhanu found Radha during his morning bath in the Yamuna in a lotus flower.
Vrishabhanu and Kirti were Suchandra and Kalavati in previous life. They prayed that Lakshmi may be born as their daughter. Radha is considered an appearance of Lakshmi.
Radha is Krishna’s mystical companion, his dearest Gopi in Vraj. Other names are Radharani, Radhika.
Radha is married with Abhimanyu (not the Abhimanyu from the Mahabharata).
