Uttanka

A disciple of Veda, who was a disciple of Ayodadhaumya.

Uttanka wanted to give Veda a present at the end of his apprenticeship. Since Veda didn’t want anything, he asked his wife. She asked for the earrings of King Paushya’s wife, who Uttanka got. On the way home, they were stolen from him by Takshaka. He got it back, but couldn’t forgive him. It was he who gave Janamejaya the idea to kill all snakes
