Krishnas biological parents are Devaki and Vasudeva.
His foster parents are Yashoda and Nanda.

His elder brother is Balarama, his younger half-sister is Subhadra.

A legend says that when the Gods asked Vishnu to destroy the demon Kamsa, he took one white and one black hair from His head, the white hair became Balarama, the black hair became Krishna. Krishna means dark, he is depicted with dark skin, Balarama with light skin.

In Puri he is worshiped as the Lord of the universe, Jagannatha. Subhadra and Balarama are with him.

Krishna’s mystical companion was Radha, his dearest Gopi in Vraj.
